Musical influences
I really can’t pin point a particular genre but I guess I am most influenced by Stevie Wonder, Sister Sledge, Earth Wind & Fire, Whitney Huston, Celine Dion, The Beatles, Incognito, Chic, ToTo, Steemy Dan, Dooby Brothers, Alannis Morisette, Status Quo, Chas & Dave, Shania Twain, ELO, Billy Ocean, Luther Vandross… so many I could go on!!!!
Previous bands/jobs/projects
I’ve been employed more in production shows such as for Potters Resorts, P&O Cruises, Essex FM, supported artists such as David Essex, Billy Ocean, Peter Andre, Suzie Quattro, Alexander O’Neil. More recently I now sing backing vocals occasionally with D:Ream (biggest hits Things Can Only Get Better and You’re The Best Thing). I also perform in mine and my husband’s ABBA tribute show Sweden usually as Frida.
Instruments played
Since joining SD, my talents have been channeled into learning the chimes and of course air guitar and drums!!!!
Other Occupations
I’ve always just worked in the industry since graduating performing arts college either singing or dancing until very recently where I have tried a little stint in the NHS as a health care assistant in orthopaedics but now alongside singing, I work a few days for a company in customer services. I’m also a fully qualified Sports Massage and remedial Therapist.
Equipment
Just my voice and an SM58 microphone!
